Yannik McKie's story is not one of comfort — it is one of redemption. After losing both parents to AIDS before the age of sixteen, he found himself navigating grief, instability, and identity without a roadmap.
What began as a personal journey of healing became a calling to help others confront their own silent battles. Over the past decade, Yannik has founded and led Living In Purpose — a 501(c)3 nonprofit equipping youth, strengthening families, and transforming communities both locally and globally.

Yannik expresses his singular calling in multiple strategic lanes: As an Executive Coach & Founder of Purpose-Fueled Leader he equips entrepreneurs, executives, and organizations with tools to increase performance and build purpose-driven cultures that thrive under pressure.
Founder of Purpose-Fueled Leader — equipping executives and organizations to thrive under pressure and build purpose-driven cultures.
Pastor of CHOSEN Church — reaching youth and young adults with the hope of Christ and helping them realize their God-given identity.
Executive Director of Living In Purpose — a 501(c)3 dedicated to helping youth and families turn trauma into triumph through The Purpose Center.
Producer of What Pain Left Behind — a documentary designed to help people understand that pain prepares you for purpose, not defines you.

Pain can either develop you or destroy you—and Yannik McKie knows this firsthand. In his powerful debut book, Yannik confronts the hard questions many people wrestle with when tragedy strikes: Where is God in a world filled with suffering? Drawing from his own story of losing both parents to AIDS before the age of 16, he shares how grief, doubt, and unanswered questions nearly broke him—yet ultimately became the very tools God used to shape his purpose. With honesty, faith, and hope, Yannik challenges the belief that God is the source of our pain, pointing instead to the brokenness of a fallen world. This book is an invitation to see beyond circumstances, trust what God has promised, and believe that your pain does not disqualify you—it prepares you. If you’re searching for meaning in the middle of hardship, this message will remind you that God is still present, still faithful, and fully capable of turning your pain into a platform and your problems into purpose.

Yannik didn't just speak to our team; he spoke into them. His message gave our leaders renewed clarity, emotional strength & alignment. It's rare to find a speaker who can simultaneously elevate purpose, performance, and people. Our organization is stronger because of his time with us.

We couldn't have had a better speaker! You were so genuine, relevant and clearly had done your homework. You knew this audience and raised the level of conversation versus talking down to them. Thank yo for putting your head, heart and hands into our mission.

We invited Yannik in early this Spring to speak to our young men during our Bow ties and Blue Jeans mentoring matchup event. He delivered an inspiring message about finding your purpose in your problems! His message resonated with the entire audience, challenging us all to find our purpose and BE GREAT!
